This page exists so that any new, potential applicants to the clan will have an idea whether they would enjoy their time in the clan or not. The actual members of
the clan follow the policy dogmatically, and we expect all new members to do so as well. Any deviances from the policy will end up in a warning and eventually in
banning.
Why would any clan want such policies?
We chose to have such policies because of the fact that we like a certain style of play as well as a certain kind of people. This is our hobby, what we enjoy doing in
our spare time... Well, you get the point. It is simply there to make sure that we have fun within the clan and don't end up flaming each other. There is enough of that
between players and clans anyway. Should you not agree with our policy, then please don't apply.
Ever since the old days when [farbror] was a proud CS-clan, we always made sure that our level of play held certain standards and that whenever someone
battled it out with the clan or one of its members, their experience would be an enjoyable one (as far as that is possible when you're getting your ass kicked).
We didn't camp, we never used tactics that intentionally made the game slow or unfair and we always took both victory as well as defeat with a smile. However,
as the game-play of BF1942 will differ from that of CS, we will have to develop new rules for our clan. But be very certain that these rules will ensure that
the spirit of the game is upheld. We don't think that winning is any fun unless you do so according to our pre-defined policy. What other people get their kicks
from is highly irrelevant, and if you don't like it, then go join another clan. Some of you reading this must by now consider us to be up-tight, pretentious assholes,
and that a clan like this one can't have many members. If so, then we're not going to argue with you. If you don't get our point then when we probably don't like you
either. We have the members that we want to have, members that enjoy playing games the way the rest of the members enjoy it. This more often than not means that our
clan will not win the big tournaments, since we don't have the same wealth of choice from members that other clans have. Members don't flock to our banner, since they
find us slightly difficult to deal with. Neither do we use any unfair advantages that one could gain from using faulty game-elements such as bugs, cheats and similar
phenomena. If winning is your main priority then look around for another clan. Having fun and enjoying the spirit of the game is our main priority. Below follows
several pointers that should indicate what kind of members that we want. Some of them are game related and some aren't. They're all there to ensure that we will
remain friends on-line and that we will enjoy meeting up in real life. These pointers (especially the game-related ones) will be updated over time as we play the game.
If you are a member, then please take note of any changes to the list.
*You must have seen the movie Kelly's Heroes at least once, and enjoyed it. If you're planning to become a member then prepare yourself to watch it again.
*There is no upper limit to the number of members of the clan, but the first batch will all have their names and tactical roles defined by the characters from the movie. The ones that are already taken can be viewed at the "Members" page. Should we, however unlikely this is, run out of characters form the movie, then we'll just have to start making up new ones. The new ones should all be made in the spirit of the movie.
*We don't want any racists, fascists or people of similar right-wing convictions in our clan. If you are one of them, then please fuck off.
*We don't want any zealous fanatics of any religion in our clan. We don't mind that you uphold any certain belief-system, but most of us tend to be atheists or agnostics.
